Personality

A little bit Happy and a bit of Go Lucky, Luxor has one of those personalities that some people find annoying because it's difficult to gauge what they're taking seriously or not. If a certain comment or action would be funnier, they're more likely to opt for it versus the more "mature" or kinder response. Their structural resilience allows them more leeway for making mistakes and they take full advantage of that. While eager to jump into action and get things done, it seems they equally lack the patience to wait and listen to drawn out explanations. A learn by doing rather than studying kind of mindset.

Background

According to Luxor, they were raised in the mountains between Ilsabard and Othard along the Skatay range; part of a Hrothgar clan that got stuck on this side of the Burn and integrated with a friendly village of Domans in the mountains. The location being isolated and difficult to reach due to volatile weather, visits from Garlemald troops were few and so the effects of the occupation were seldom directly felt here; mainly just lamenting the almost impossible task of trading goods.In their late teens, Luxor was picked up at some point by a patrol to work as a translator, eventually reaching almost a diplomat status. When the Garlemald occupation was finally pushed back, they found themself working amongst the embassies and trading companies until filled with the urge to cross the salt and see the world.

In actuality, Luxor isn't a Hrothgar at all, but a Solution 9 experiment of melding beast souls to embryos to try and make a combatant more capable of sustained resonance with beast souls. It led to their more felid appearance being a more permanent feature than just when resonating, hypothesized that being more similar to the creature made the transformation less taxing.Promoted as a mysterious gladiator for the ring fighting, that's where most of their socialization came from as they were hidden away for the most part in the labs. The "kami" they claim to attune to for their lightning aspected attacks is really the beast soul they were paired with and adapting reaper style summoning helps them obfuscate the truth.As you can surmise, when the dome merged with the Source, they escaped in the chaos and quickly took up wandering about and learning about this new world.
